Executive summary

This is placed at the beginning of the report and allows executives to quickly and easily grasp what has been learned and what is being recommended. Sometimes the digest is bound separately for executives who will not want to read all the details. Experienced presenters often make use of this technique of the separate executive summary.

This executive summary will include:

• action implications backed up by key findings

• discussion of findings for interested middle management

• a short appendix with a few details of procedures, a sample of appropriate materials, a few detailed tabulations, and statistics.
