Ambiguity And Vagueness

The word light can mean both light in weight and light in colour. Using the word on its own can be confusing.

Biased words and leading or loaded questions

Biased words have emotional connotations such that the respondent may respond to the word rather than to the question in which it is contained: 'bosses' and 'interference' are two such words. Such words should be avoided. Leading questions are those that either suggest the way in which the respondent should answer or strongly suggest what the questioner's position on the subject is. These too should be avoided.
