The Challenge

Afler decades of isolation Irom the capitalist world, Russia is emerging as a vital new economic force filled with opportunities, optimism, and enthusiasm. Like every nation that has entered the global playing field in the last 20 years, Russia has relied on both domestic and international investors for growth. The Trust Investment Bank is one such clearinghouse for the linancial resources Russian-based businesses need to succeed. Interbrand was called in to create a brand that would reflect the level of confidence, professionalism, and integrity investors, borrowers, and consumers expect Irom an investment bank no matter where it's located.

The Process

The Interbrand design team wen1 through a four-stage process to create Trust Investment Bank's brand. At first, the team developed brand strategy through extensive research and survey. They Ihen developed design concepts based on that accumulated information. The development and implementation stages, which included locus grouping of a variety ol solutions, helped both Ihe team and Ihe client realize the linal candidate's potential for use across a broad range of media. The selected brand identity cleverly combines Russian and English influences in a simple and discreel image. The two Ts in the word TRUST point the way business expands out of the RUS. which stands lor the institution's Russian clientele.

The Result

Trust Investment Bank's new identity, with its sophisticated and forward-thinking look, was implemented in 2003 across the range ol the company's business applications. from its brand book and corporate brochure to its stationery and website (www.trust.ru). The company's brand and its core business have met with rave reviews in Russia: surely the memorable logo has something to do with this.
