Everyone wants to succeed. Money isn't the only, or even the prime, consideration. The approval of their peers and experience that will stand employees in good stead later is key. However, promotion helps to justify their hours to their families who often have to forego a great deal. It is not my job to tell you how to promote staff, merely to point out that if you don't have a mechanism whereby people can earn promotion, you are operating your company on borrowed time. It is in your best interest, as much as your staff's, that the company be structured to allow its staff to grow with it.
